In the elective Extra Ordinary General Assembly held at Lemigo Hotel on Saturday, Rwemalika polled 43 out of the 45 casted votes to edge Ingabire Claire Deborah for the position of the First Vice President of the country’s Olympic body for the term 2017-2020.

Rwemalika founded the Organisation of Kigali Women in Sports, and since 2001 she has travelled across the country to use football as a powerful instrument to empower girls and reconcile a healing generation.
