Incumbent Nzamwita & Mwanafunzi cleared to vie for FERWAFA Presidency

Incumbent President Nzamwita Vincent and Mwanafunzi Albert have been cleared by the FERWAFA Electoral committee to contest for Presidency in the polls set for September 10, 2017 in Kigali City.

The FERWAFA Electoral Committee president Adolphe Kalisa told ferwafa.rw on Thursday evening, “It’s official now, two aspiring candidates, Nzamwita Vincent and Mwanafunzi Albert have been cleared to vie for the FERWAFA Presidency,”

“After scrutinizing the nomination documents submitted by both candidates, I can now confirm that they have duly satisfied the terms and requirements set by the FERWAFA electoral laws and guidelines,”

“Both aspiring candidates will start holding their campaigns from August 14, 2017 until September 9, 2017 at midnight while elections will be held on September 10,” added Kalisa.

On Thursday afternoon, the FERWAFA electoral committee gave notification letters to both Nzamwita and Mwanafunzi, officially allowing them to view for the FERWAFA Presidency.

Proposed Candidates’ Executive Committees
Mwanafunzi Albert’s proposed executive committee includes; Uwintwari John (Vice President), Murekatete Marie Chantal (Finance Commission), Munyandamutsa Maurice (Competitions Commission), Kayiranga Liliane (Marketing and Sponsoring Commission), Kanamugire Fidele (Youth Development Commission), Nyinawumuntu Grace (Technical Development Commission), Muhimpundu Sandra (Legal Commission), Rwemalika Felicite (Women Football Commission), Nzabahimana Augistin Neto (Referees Commission), Muteyinkingi Augustin Neto (Medical Commission) and Mukiga Rutagenggwa (Security Commission).

The proposed executive committee for the incumbent President Nzamwita includes; Habyarimana Marcel (Vice President), Hakizimana Moussa (Medical Commission), Kagabo Patrick (Women Football Commission) and Nshimiyimana Alexis Redamptus (Youth Development Commission).

Others are Munyankaka Ancille (Technical Commission), Ruhamiriza Eric (Refereeing Commission), Mukangoboka Christine (Finance Commission), Nikuze Valentine (Marketing Commission), AIP. Ntakirutimana Diane (Security Commission), Kajangwe Joseph (Competition Commission) and Masumbuko Moussa (Legal Commission).

The next FERWAFA President will be elected during the extra-ordinary general assembly slated for September 10, 2017.

Nzamwita has been president of Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) since January 2014.
