FERWAFA Extraordinary General Assembly postponed to October 21

The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) Executive Committee which sat on Thursday, September 7, 2017 has decided to postpone the Extraordinary General Assembly which was scheduled to be held on September 10 at Kigali Marriott Hotel to October 21, 2017.

The decision to postpone the Extraordinary General Assembly was based on several discussions held between FERWAFA and the World Soccer body, FIFA recently over the postponement of the FERWAFA Presidency elections.

The Extraordinary General Assembly in October will among other tasks adopt the electoral code reforms and determine a suitable period when the FERWAFA Presidential elections will be held.

Among other resolutions, the Executive Committee Meeting agreed to have the 2017/18 Azam Rwanda Premier League start on September 29, 2017, the maiden Super Cup match which will pit league champions Rayon Sports and Peace Cup champions APR Fc to be staged on September 23, 2017 at Stade Umuganda in Rubavu District while the 2017/18 Second Division League will start on 11/11/2017.
