Rwandan coaches promised more support to boost their professional careers

Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) president Vincent Nzamwita has assured local coaches of more support in bid to boost their professional careers.

The FERWAFA President Nzamwita Vincent made the remarks while closing the week-long FIFA Physical Fitness Training for Coaches course which climaxed on Friday at FERWAFA headquarters in Remera, Kigali City.

He said, “I am thankful to FIFA for enabling Rwandan coaches to benefit from this useful course. I do congratulate participants who exercised professionalism in pursuing the course,”

“You have managed to pursue many courses in this term of office which is coming to an end this year. It was part of our responsibility to enable you develop your careers. Only that we have had limited time between all the courses that were conducted, my wish is to see all of you pursue the CAF Pro License and even after that go for UEFA Pro Licenses,”

“Whether I am still in Office next year or not, I will continue to work and ensure that you attain the highest possible coaching badges so as to collectively boost your coaching careers,”

Nzamwita who followed the practical session held on Friday morning urged participants to go and put to good use the skills gained in their respective clubs such that the football fraternity can witness a more competitive Azam Rwanda Premier League which starts on September 29, 2017.

The five-day training was led by FIFA’s Fitness Instructor, Pierre Barrieu from USA. Participants underwent strength, speed, agility, power and endurance training, as well as proper techniques for warming up and cooling down before and after matches among others.

FIFA instructor Barrieu was encouraged by the good response and discipline from the coaches throughout the week. He further added that the course was important as it helped in the improvement of the performance of coaches and made them aware of the latest methods in fitness training.

At the end of the course, each participant received a certificate of completion. In addition, participants were encouraged to pass on their newly acquired skills with their players in their respective clubs.

The five-day course attracted 32 coaches namely; Mbungo Casa (Sc Kiyovu), Nshimiyimana Eric (AS Kigali), Mashami Vincent (Amavubi), Rwasamanzi Yves (AEFR), Kayiranga Baptiste (AEFR), Habimana Sosthene (AEFR), Bizimungu Ally (AEFR), Gatera Alphonse (Sunrise Fc), Seninga Innocent (Police Fc), Bizimana Abdou (Virunga Fc), Mbarushimana Abdou (AS Muhanga), Gatera Moussa (Isonga Fc), Hitimana Thierry (AEFR), Ruremesha Emmanuel (Etincelles Fc), Mulisa Jimmy (APR Fc), Mukashema Consolee (Rambura WFC), Mbonimpa Anne (AEFR), Rubona Emmanuel (APR Fc Academy), Kirasa Alain (Heroes Fc), Nzayisenga Thierry (Girikinyoni Fc), Bizimuremyi Radjab (Scandinavia WFC), Habimana Peace Maker (Kirehe Fc), Mbarushimana Gedeon (Intare Fc), Murekezi Jean Marie (Miroplast Fc), Mpawenimana Ismail (Vision JN), Munyeshema Gaspard (United Stars), Kamali Methode (Gicumbi Fc), Mbonigaba Ndahiro (Vision Fc), Lomami Marcel (Rayon Sports Fc) and Rwaka Jean Claude (Mukura VS).
