Rwandan Hakizimana among officials to handle Morocco-Mauritania opener

Rwandan referee Louis Hakizimana has been appointed the among the officials of the opening match of the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) Morocco 2018.

Host Morocco face Mauritania in the tournament opener on Saturday, 13 January 2018 at the Complexe Sportif Mohamed V in Casablanca.

Hakizimana will serve as the fourth official in the game which will be handled by the experienced Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe who has risen to become one of the foremost match officials on the continent since attaining international status in 2007.

Hakizimana who is among the best elite referees on the continent has excelled in both worldwide and continental assignments handled to him last year.

Other officials appointed for the opening game include Kenyan Marwa Aden Range and Arsenio Maringula of Mozambique who will be the first and second assistant referees.
