Peace Cup 2018: Quarter-final line-up complete

Reigning champions APR Fc will face Police Fc in the quarter-final of this year’s Peace Cup Competition after both sides won their 16 ties last week.

The military side reached the quarter final stage after a 4-0 aggregate win over La Jeunesse. APR won the first leg 3-0 and was held to a goalless draw in the second leg at Mumena Stadium last Friday.

On the other side, Police Fc, 2005 winners, also thrashed Musanze Fc 3-0 to qualify to the last eight 4-2 on aggregates.

Other last matches will see Bugesera Fc who knocked out SC Kiyovu taking on Sunrise Fc who edged Espoir 3-2 on aggregate.

Marines Fc who knocked out Pepiniere Fc 2-0 on aggregate will face the winner between Rayon Sports Fc and Etincelles Fc. The Rayon Sports/Etincelles Fc tie is yet to be played following the Blues’ engagement in on-going CAF Confedetaration Cup.

Mukura VS who surprised AS Kigali to qualify 5-3 on aggregate will face Amagaju Fc who edged Muhanga 1-1 on aggregate in the Southern Province derby.

First leg matches of the Peace Cup competition are scheduled to be played between June 12-13 while the return legs will be staged between June 19-20.

The last four will be played between June 26-27 with the first leg action while the return leg will be played between June 30-July 1.

The final will then be played on July 4 with the eventual winner earning an automatic qualification to represent Rwanda at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
