FERWAFA Third Division Men Championship 2025–2026 Enters Decisive National Round of 16 Phase

The FERWAFA Third Division Men Championship 2025–2026 has officially progressed to its highly anticipated National Round of 16, marking a crucial milestone in this season’s competition.

Structured into four regional zones namely, Kigali & Bugesera, North, East, and South West, the championship has provided a dynamic platform for emerging talent while fostering competitive football across the country. After several weeks of intense regional action, the group stage phase has concluded, paving the way for the national knockout rounds.

A total of 16 teams have earned qualification to the National Round of 16 after finishing among the top performers in their respective regions:

The official national draw is scheduled for Thursday, 05th March 2026, when the 16 qualified teams will discover their opponents for the Round of 16 fixtures.

The knockout stage will progressively reduce the competition from 16 teams to 8, before determining the final 4 teams that will advance to the playoff stage, where promotion ambitions will intensify.

The National Round of 16 (1/8 Finals) is set to kick off on 15th March 2026, ushering in a decisive and high-stakes chapter of the championship.

Organized by FERWAFA, the 2025–2026 edition officially kicked off on 21st November 2025. Since then, the championship has demonstrated strong regional participation, competitive balance, and a continued commitment to grassroots football development.

With the regional group stages successfully completed, the competition now enters its most competitive phase, promising thrilling fixtures and significant opportunities for clubs aspiring to climb the Rwandan football pyramid.
