The President of FERWAFA, Shema N. Fabrice, alongside the Executive Committee, presided over the awards ceremony honoring top-performing teams in the Rwanda Women’s Super League 2025–2026 season.
During the event, the Commissioner for Women’s Football Development Mrs. NIKITA GICANDA, praised the improved level of competition and highlighted FERWAFA’s growing efforts in promoting, branding, and adding value to the league. He noted that further progress will extend to club licensing and player safeguarding.
In his remarks, the President commended all participating teams, with special recognition for the top performers, emphasizing unity and collaboration as key to achieving the federation’s goals. He also assured clubs that prize money will continue to grow as resources allow, while thanking teams and players for their role in developing women’s football.
Rayon Sports WFC were crowned champions and awarded 20 million RWF, followed by Police WFC (15M), Indahangarwa WFC (10M), Kamonyi WFC (8M), APR WFC (6M), and Macuba WFC (4M).
The Rwanda Women’s Super League continues to play a key role in raising standards and nurturing future talent across the country.
