The 2025–2026 Rwanda Women’s Regional League Playoffs have taken a dramatic turn, with two of the three contenders locked on equal points as the race for promotion intensifies.
The action began on 23 April, when Amizero WFC delivered a strong opening performance, defeating Munyiginya WFC 3–0 to take an early lead in the standings. Their dominance set the tone for what looked like a promising playoff campaign.
However, the balance shifted on 26 April, as Eagles WFC edged Munyiginya WFC 1–0, securing a crucial win that brought them level with Amizero. The result leaves Munyiginya with mixed fortunes after two matches but still very much in contention.
Current Standings:
• Amizero WFC – 3 points
• Eagles WFC – 3 points
• Munyiginya WFC – 0 points
With only these three teams battling for a single promotion spot to the Rwanda Women’s Super League, the competition remains wide open. Goal difference and the final fixture outcomes are now set to play a decisive role.
As the playoffs approach their conclusion, the stakes could not be higher, each team remains firmly in the hunt, and one decisive moment could define their season.
