Rwandan referee and Video Match Official (VMO) Salima Mukansanga has been appointed by FIFA among the match officials selected to officiate at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026™️ scheduled to take place from 5 to 27 September 2026 in Poland.

FIFA announced a total of 68 match officials for the tournament, including 18 referees, 36 assistant referees and 14 video match officials drawn from five confederations worldwide. Mukansanga is among the Video Match Officials selected for the prestigious competition.

Her appointment reflects FIFA’s continued confidence in her expertise and international experience, having previously officiated at major FIFA and CAF competitions.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026 will feature 24 teams competing across four host cities, serving as an important platform in the preparation of match officials for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™️and Salima Mukansanga’s selection is another significant achievement for Rwandan football and officiating on the global stage.
