From 29th January to ten of February, various trainings and fitness testing were organized by the FERWAFA to enhance capacity building among the Division 2 and Division 3 Leagues in Men and Women categories, where at the beginning 60 referees who are expected to officiate Division 3 Men/Women league were trained.
Capacity building for 60 Referees
Trainings were official launched on 29th of January to 03rd of February by FERWAFA Vice President in charged of Technical Matters and Development Mr. Richard MUGISHA who urged them to advance their career unceasingly based on Passion, Discipline, Honesty and Integrity.
Among the 60 successful trainees, 11 were girls and 49 boys. The trainees had the opportunity to be equipped with necessary skills in theory and practicum needed in reinforcement of the Law of the Game.
And on 10th of February 2024, in preparation of the second Leg of the Division 2, at Shyorongi pitch held fitness test for 67 Referees (59 men and 8 women) where also trainees had the opportunity to be trained on the Law of the Game, by correcting some mistakes that are likely to happen in the penalty area.

Such trainings were presided over by the Commissioner in charge of Refereeing in FERWAFA, who commended their efforts and asked them to strive for the betterment of this second Leg, saying; “Let no Team be promoted nor relegated due to refereeing mistakes” he said.
All said trainings and tests are organized to provide/acquire necessary skills to lead Football games.
