Rwanda will welcome a 30-member delegation from Australian football club Como-Jannali FC from 25 September to 8 October 2026 for a football tourism and cultural exchange visit.

The delegation includes players and officials from the club’s Under-18 girls team, who will use the visit to experience Rwandan football while discovering the country’s culture, history and tourism.

The programme includes three friendly matches against Rwandan clubs, community activities such as Umuganda and tree planting, and visits to key cultural and tourist attractions.

Among the planned visits are a safari in Akagera National Park and a visit to Nyanza King’s Palace, alongside other sites across the country. 

Speaking about the visit, Como-Jannali FC President Adam Cranney said the club is looking forward to contributing to community activities and building relationships through women’s football.

“We want to visit Rwanda, support community work and make connections in women’s football. We also expect to have a lot of fun because Rwanda is a beautiful country. We are excited to learn more about its history, culture and everything the country has to offer. This tour is part of the club’s efforts to give our young players an international football and cultural experience.”

Como-Jannali FC, based in New South Wales, Australia, was founded in 1956 and has teams across several age groups, including it’s Under-18 girls team. The club competes within the Football NSW structure.
