FIFA and CAF envoys namely Rolf Tanner, Head of MA Governance (Strategic Projects and Member Associations Governance Sub-Division), Jean Jacques Diene, In charge of Governance at CAF, have conducted on-site consultative meetings in Rwanda on 17th and 18th April 2024 with FERWAFA stakeholders to get their inputs and comments that will be integrated into new FERWAFA Statutes in alignment with FIFA member Associations statutes model.

During their stay in Rwanda, they had an opportunity to meet the FERWAFA Executive Committee and various stakeholders (FERWAFA members and partners) to gather inputs that will be the basis for the new FERWAFA statutes draft to be approved by the Extra Ordinary General Assembly scheduled to take place in December this year.
Jules Karangwa, the FERWAFA technical Advisor said that, such consultative meetings will help to build a strong and modern statutes that will enhance a Solid Governance in Rwandan football.
“Without strong Governance, you can’t prepare for a sustainable organizational development and projects, it is therefore imperative that we start with the modern statutes which is results oriented, and we hope to gain much knowledge from the experience of CAF and FIFA, and we shall undoubtedly work tirelessly to put their recommendations into practice” Karangwa added.
Some important changes are expected to come along the new statutes and once approved, it will be put into actions after being approved by January Executive Committee.
